Alderman Robert Pondelicek
- Ward 1
Bob and his wife of 44 years, Maxine have lived in Ward 1
for 39 years and are members of St. Cletus Parish. They have 3 grown
children and 2 grandchildren. Bob attended Wilson Junior College before
joining the Army.
After being honorably discharged from the Army, Bob
attended DePaul University, majoring in business management. His
business career spanned over 37 years with Xerox Corp. from where he
retired in January of 2000.
Bob is actively involved in the City and community. He is
a past member of the Countryside Police Pension board and past Secretary
of the Countryside Fire and Police Commission.
Bob has completed his first term as Alderman for Ward 1
and is the Chairman of the Countryside Independent Party. His experience
in municipal government covers all aspects of City’s inter structure. He
is a past member of the Infrastructure and Hotel & Motel Committees, and
is currently serving as Chairman of the License and Human Resource
Committees and is a member of the Water and Police Committees.
Bob belongs to several local community organizations,
including the Country Club Park Homeowners Association, the Vulcan
Material Community Advisory Committee, the Berwyn Moose Lodge #424 and
is a member of American Legion Coulter Post #1941.
Bob promises to continue to work hard and will dedicate
his time and energy to maintain and improve the quality of services and
amenities provided for all the residents of Ward 1 and the City of
Countryside.
Bob believes in being accessible and listening to your
concerns and ideas, most importantly, he will not only listen to your
concerns, but will act on them and try to resolve them as quickly as
possible. Bob would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the
residents of Ward 1 who supported him in his successful campaign for
re-election a Alderman on April 7th, 2009. Thank you!
