City Clerk Sweeney Biography

Sharon and her husband Marty have lived in Ward 2 since the fall of 1985. They have two sons who are both married. 

Sharon was elected City Clerk in April 2007 and is also a member of the License Committee.  She currently serves as the Membership Chairman for the Countryside Independent Party.

Sharon has over 30 years of experience in the business world.  She has been working full time for the past 12 years in Burr Ridge as a bookkeeper.  Her duties which include billing, accounts payable and payroll processing have given her an excellent background for handling the duties of City Clerk.
