locationThe Municipal Complex has easily accessible bike racks to encourage public travel by bike instead of an automobile, which contributes to emissions reduction and energy savings. The Brainard Avenue bike path is scheduled to be completed in 2020. This path will be on the east side of Brainard Avenue connecting the Cook County Forest Preserve.

This facility features electric vehicle charging stations for public and facility use. The City wants to encourage and promote the use of non-pollution emitting vehicles. Prime parking spaces are also reserved for high-efficiency vehicles.

A bus stop is located near the facility to promote the public’s use of public transportation to the site. The use of public transportation helps reduce gas emissions, vehicle congestion, noise pollution, and improves air quality.
